Fibrr Records is the label and sound-publishing platform of Apo33, an experimental arts collective based in Nantes founded in 1997. Fibrr itself has released noise, improvisation, performance and collaborative sound work since 2000 — carrying much of Apo33’s own artistic research and production into recorded form.
Each release is treated as its own artistic problem, not simply a document of a performance: recording, editing and diffusion are themselves sites of composition. A piece may exist in several forms, each shaped by its own context and mode of listening.
As a DIY and copyleft micro-label, Fibrr supports singular and exploratory sound practices, and the community of musicians and sound artists around them.
